A muddy good time
The Vintage Sports-Car Club’s 2017 Cotswold Trial will be remembered for one thing: mud.
I suppose if you’re holding a trial that will truly test car and driver, a bit of the slippery stuff is A Good Thing. It certainly makes for an exciting spectator sport – as long as you don’t mind the odd fleck of mud in your face.
This was my first time shooting a car trial, but it definitely won’t be the last. After the torrential downpours of Goodwood Revival and the Prescott Autumn Classic, I’m even becoming acclimatised to the rain making an appearance at every car show I attend.
I’ve left the images in chronological order so hopefully you’ll get a feel for how the conditions deteriorated over the course of the afternoon.
As ever, if you’d like prints of any of the photos, drop me a line.
